Tim and Cheryl Gilley were called to Awana in the Fall of 2011 while attending their church's Missions Conference. This call led the Gilleys to Minnesota and Wisconsin to train churches and leaders to work through Awana teaching kids and youth to come to know, love, and serve, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gilleys have been involved with Awana clubs at various levels since 1988. They started a club, served as ministry directors, game directors, and small group leaders, and taught many large group lessons, prior to serving as missionaries.

Tim and Cheryl were married in 1981 and have enjoyed many wonderful years together. God has blessed them with wonderful kids and grandchildren. One of their greatest joys is spending time with their precious grandkids!
