Mark and Beth Trimble:
Brazil, South America
Briefly describe your ministry:
To encourage and assist Brazilians in building Christ’s church. God has used us to help our Brazilian brethren through interim pastoring, counseling pastors and missionaries, assisting deacon boards that invite us with their planning and decisions, and helping them develop their own seminary. Mark is involved with directing, teaching, and administration at the seminary. He also has the privilege of serving on the board of the Brazilian mission and helping them to organize their outreach. We are encouraging Brazilians to take charge of the work. Our objective is to gradually fade and urge them to take over.
Briefly share a recent example of how God has been at work in your ministry:
We were recently invited to help a church going through some difficulties, after their pastor left. On our first two Sundays, 4 people were saved.
What things do you enjoy about living in Brazil?
It is like home. I grew up there, and Beth grew up in Bolivia.
How did you first connect to Calvary?
My missionary parents helped Calvary in the initial stages. I became a member when I was about 13. About 10 years ago, Beth and I became associate members, because of practical reasons.
Anything else you would like to share?
Calvary is still on our heart, and part of our lives, though we don’t get there often.
