Dave and Tamara Johnson:
Serving in NW Wisconsin
Briefly describe your ministry:
Tamara and I trust God to use us to start and coach Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) groups on Universities and Technical Colleges in NW Wisconsin. We give away College Survival Kits at a table, asking students to fill out spiritual interest surveys as they take a bag. In this way, we meet Christians who want to reach out on the campus as we get evangelistic material into the hands of many non-Christians. We then coach these Christian students to start a Bible study and put together strategies for reaching out on the campus. We have also been asked to reach out to faculty on each campus and attempt to start Faculty Fellowships to help Christian faculty to have more impact for Christ. Tamara has major responsibilities in the Human Resource division of CCC, evaluating New Staff and Intern applicants. We have joined the UWEC staff team to create a NW Wisconsin team of seven. We are trusting God to use us to stimulate and encourage each other to have the greatest possible impact for Christ.
What will be some of your upcoming challenges in you ministry?
To quickly find leaders among the freshmen to train and take over as our older leaders graduate. Trusting God to begin a CCC group at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College in Hayward.
What are you looking forward to this school year?
Being a part of a team, working and trusting God together.
