Gary, Barb, Megan and Melissa Bennett:
Serving in Rwanda, Africa.
We work with the Grace Churches of Rwanda helping them to plant new churches and strengthen existing ones. We often share special music in Kinyarwand on Sundays together as a family and have found it to be a real source of encouragement to many.
Another aspect of our work is to oversee the construction of new facilities for New Creations Ministries (NCM) (a pastoral training center here in Kigali). We started an experimental agricultural center, demonstration garden and alternative energy exhibit there at NCM also. This will help to make the education these pastors receive more holistic, and help our students come up with new ways of providing food for their families which is becoming more and more of an issue.
In addition to these responsibilities, Gary also oversees mission administration and finances. Barb is still in language study and teaches English to the students at NCM. She also leads worship for the women's Bible study that meets every other week and teaches music from time to time in several other schools and organizations around Kigali.
