Shepherd Groups are designed for those at Calvary who want to live more in community, and are designed to encourage intimacy and sharing one another's burdens in a small group setting. The groups usually pick a topic for study or discussion and then help each other work through the application of what they are learning. They include a sharing and prayer time when they meet along with a refreshments and fellowship time. Shepherd Groups are also encouraged to choose periodic outreaches so they can encourage each another to be obedient to Christ's command to share the gospel and make disciples.
Each group has determined how often they meet, either weekly or every other week, to accomplish these purposes.
